Introducing the Bowflex PR3000 Home Gym.
With its versatility and ease of use, the PR3000 is perfect for those looking to lose weight, gain muscle, or a little of both. It’s a great investment to replace month to month gym fees to be able to work out in the comfort of home.
Bowflex PR3000 Benefits and Features:
The Bowflex PR3000 Home Gym offers a huge variety of benefits and features that make it perfect for at home exercise. This system is incredibly versatile and offers over fifty possibly exercises including vertical bench and lat pull downs.
The PR3000 isn’t only made for an upper body workout, though. It has a wide array of other exercises available to focus on core strength and lower body strength and it comes equipped with upholstered roller cushions for leg extensions and leg curls.
Because the PR3000 has a no cable change design, it’s fast and easy to switch from one exercise to the next without taking a break in the workout. The top pulley features a convenient hook-eye that enables it to easily swivel.
The power rods included with the PR3000 offer 5-210 pounds of resistance, and additional power rods are available for purchase to work to a resistance of 310-410lbs.
Bowflex PR3000 Pros and Cons
The Bowflex PR3000 Home Gym has both positives and negatives, but overall, the system does exactly what it says it will.
The no cable change design makes for a very quick and easy workout. The smooth motion of the cables also makes it very quiet. The PR3000 is easily assembled and very durable, however, the warranty does not last very long.
The design of the system is very solid and sturdy and it stand on rubber feet that keep the metal off of the floor which allows for a very safe workout. The variety of exercises available is also a nice bonus.
The PR3000 is able to accommodate over 50 different exercises, but, unfortunately, only 27 of these exercises are listed in the included manual. It’s very easy to look up the rest of the exercises on the Bowflex website, though, so this is really just a minor inconvenience.
When the PR3000 is not in use it takes up very little space, but it needs at least 8ft by 6.5ft of workout space when it is being used. The system has a user weight limit of 300lbs, which means it’s not necessarily useful for everyone. Also, a lat bar is not included.
Pulldowns can, however, be done with the included hand grips, and a lat bar can be purchased separately if desired.
The biggest flaw in the PR3000 comes from the power rods. The advertised weight resistance does not at all match up to the resistance offered by free weights, which means many people will need to upgrade to the additional weight sizes to get a useful workout.
Additionally, the rods tend to degrade overtime which means they will gradually lose their resistance. Fortunately, customer service is usually very good about replacing the rods as long as the system is within its warranty.
Bowflex PR3000 Summary
Overall, the Bowflex PR3000 Home Gym does exactly what it says it will do.
It’s quick and efficient to use and it makes a terrific investment for a home workout system. It’s important to note the weight discrepancy, but this doesn’t actually take away from the effectiveness of the exercises offered by the PR3000.
The all-in-one resistance exercises offer a total body strength workout that’s difficult to find outside of a gym, making this a good purchase for those looking to invest in their health without leaving the comfort of home.
