Best Exercise Bike Reviews – Number 1

Sole Fitness SB700

Best Exercise Bike Reviews - Sole Fitness SB700Number 1 in the Best Exercise Bikes Reviews list is the Sole Fitness SB700 Exercise Bike.

This bike has all the features required to provide a stationary workout with a big difference, it actually mimics real riding.

You can adjust pretty much everything on the SB700, including the seat and handlebars, the handlebars for instance move up/down as well as fore/aft so you should be able to custom adjust this bike regardless of your size or shape.

If you do buy the Sole Fitness SB700, we recommend taking a bit of time setting up this bike correctly, once it fits you’re done.

The SB700 has a integrated LCD console which is backlit and displays the usual information (RPM, time, KCal, distance and speed) in a very easy to read blue readout. Some exercise bikes provide too much information but the Sole Fitness SB700 has gone for the essential information approach and it works. This is a serious exercise bike.

The build, feel and functionality of this bike would probably put it in the Best Exercise Bike Reviews Comparison number 1 slot alone, but having a lifetime warranty on the frame as well just goes to show how much confidence Sole Fitness have in their product.

Highly recommended if this bike falls within your budget.

Best Exercise Bike Reviews -Number 2

Schwinn A10

Best Exercise Bike Reviews - Schwinn A10 Upright BikeThe Schwinn A10 is one of the new Schwinn range of upright cardio bikes which is both well priced and has impressive features and has earned its place in the top 5 Best Exercise Bike Reviews list.

The A10 is one of the first exercise bikes to feature an ‘eddy current resistance system’ which is computer controlled via your input to the LCD console. Customer feedback supports Schwinn’s claims that this new system makes for a smooth and quiet workout with 8 resistance levels which activate almost instantaneously.

The LCD console is not too over complicated and displays the usual necessary readouts such as speed, RPM, time, distance, watts, calories and pulse.

The pulse readout is taken from the grip heart rate monitor which is suitably placed on the handlebars.

The Schwinn A10 also has integrated leveling feet for increased stability when riding, a soft padded saddle, regular pedals and an adjustable T-knob handlebars which allow for different cycling positions.

Warranty for the Schwinn A10 is 2 years on the frame and 6 months on parts/electrics.

All in all, an excellent exercise bike at a very affordable price, currently available with a huge discount and free shipping.

Best Exercise Bike Reviews -Number 3

Exerpeutic Folding Bike

Best Exercise Bike Reviews - Exerpeutic Folding BikeBeing easily pleased, we like the Exerpeutic Folding Bike because it performs like a good exercise bike and it folds away for storage, an excellent addition to this Best Exercise Bike Reviews Comparison list.

Not everyone has the space to setup a home gym and for anyone who needs to transport their exercise bike around the house, or fold up and place against a wall or in the basement after use, the Exerpeutic Folding Bike does the job. For many, the practicality of this bike makes it one of the top bikes in the Best Exercise Bike Reviews list.

Exerpeutic have made a good job of this feature as well. The bike feels quite solid when in use and providing you don’t try and win the ‘Tour de France‘ on it, you probably won’t notice the difference between the Exerpeutic Folding Bike or any other more ‘permanently situated’ machine.

Movement of the bike is further controlled by the extended leg stabilizers which work well in preventing any rocking or ‘tipping’ when you’re working out.

The LCD display features an easy to read large window and the usual feedback (distance, calories, time, speed, scan function and heart rate monitor) are all clearly displayed.

The Exerpeutic Folding Bike is also extremely quiet when being used, something which is repeated by many of the customers who have bought this bike. Exerpeutic have managed this by balancing the flywheel and V-belt drive to good effect, producing a very nice cycling action.

Other features include a large pedal design which aims to prevent foot slippage and a good sized seat cushion which should accommodate most body types.

For the price, good functionality and excellent storage options, the Exerpeutic Folding Bike is definitely worth considering.

Best Exercise Bike Reviews -Number 4

Schwinn 170 Upright Bike

Best Exercise Bike Reviews - Schwinn 170 Upright Bike

The Schwinn 170 Upright Bike offers upgraded features over the Schwinn A10 model and has a slightly more sturdy feel to it, all of this reflected in the list price of course.

Fortunately, the Schwinn 170 is also being offered with huge discount at the moment (up to 40% off) and with the free shipping included, this makes this bike excellent value.

The features of the Schwinn 170 are fairly impressive and make it a very nice bike to include in this Best Exercise Bike Reviews Comparison list.

You have a choice of 13 different display options and these are displayed on the dual track two LCD window system. The display has a backlit blue screen (typical of a lot of the modern bikes) and the information is shown clearly with no problems.

The Schwinn 170 has a choice of 29 fitness programs and 4 user settings. It also has a system called Schwinn Connect, which is a goal tracking feature, allowing you save your fitness program progress and export to USB. This data can then be saved for the next workout or exchanged onto fitness monitoring software such as ‘SchwinnConnect™‘ or ‘‘.

This Schwinnn also uses the ‘eddy current resistance‘ system and like the Schwinn A10, customer feedback supports the opinion that the Schwinn 170 Upright Bike keeps workouts smooth and quiet.

The body of this bike is as you would expect from Schwinn, well designed and sturdy. The crossbar tubing is oversized, which adds extra stability, two integrated levelers help steady the whole platform and as standard on most machines these days, transport wheels are included to help with transportation. No big surprises here but no obvious problems either.

The central control cluster includes a 3 speed fan and ‘acoustic chamber’ speakers. We particularly liked the position of the heart rate grip which you can use in a relaxed riding position.

Overall, a good quality exercise bike in the mid-budget range which has earned its place in the Best Exercise Bike Reviews guide. It has all the features that you would expect of this level of equipment and is backed by a 10 year frame warranty. Worth a second glance.

Best Exercise Bike Reviews – Number 5

Sunny Health & Fitness Pro Indoor Cycling Bike

Best Exercise Bike Reviews - Sunny Health Pro

The Sunny Health & Fitness Pro Indoor Cycling Bike has been one of the best selling exercise bikes for the past few months and should continue to be in the top 5 Best Exercise Bike Reviews.

What we have here is a heavy duty indoor bike which some previous customers have referred to as being even better than the quality of bikes you find in gyms and spinning classes.

The bike features a heavy-duty crank and chain mechanism which has proven to give solid feedback as you cycle, helping to give the feel of real cycling.

As you would expect from a bike in this Best Exercise Bike Reviews Comparison guide, the seat and handlebars are fully adjustable and as with other models, we would recommend taking your time when you first set up this machine.

The Sunny Health & Fitness Pro Indoor Cycling Bike also has a reinforced steel frame and an adjustable resistance system which is simple in concept but very effective. If you’ve ever used a similar machine in a gym or spinning, you’ll know exactly what we mean.

Again, a good overall exercise bike which has the features required to get the job done. The Sunny Health & Fitness Pro doesn’t have the digital functionality offered by other bikes in our top 5 but that’s not the point, it’s a Pro Indoor Bike!
